Forget global warming, worry about the MAGNETOSPHERE: Earth’s magnetic field is collapsing and it could affect the climate and wipe out power grids

Earth’s magnetic field has weakened by 15 per cent over the last 200 years
- Could be a sign that the planet’s north and south poles are about to flip
- If this happens, solar winds could punch holes into the Earth’s ozone layer
- This could damage power grids, affect weather and increase cancer rates
- Evidence of flip happening in the past has been uncovered in pottery
- As the magnetic shield weakens, the spectacle of an aurora would be visible every night all over the Earth
While a flipping magnetic is problematic for our very existence what strike me (with a duh) is the one liner mid way:
The Earth’s climate could also change. A recent Danish study has found that the earth’s weather has been significantly affected by the planet’s magnetic field.
They claimed that fluctuations in the number of cosmic rays hitting the atmosphere directly alter the amount of cloud covering the planet.
Henrik Svensmark, a weather scientist at the Danish National Space Centre who led the team behind the research, believes that the planet is experiencing a natural period of low cloud cover due to fewer cosmic rays entering the atmosphere.
WHY people are you surprised at this? Think about it. Our magnetic field protects us from the very life giving Sun. Remember back when the hole in the ozone was a grave concern – why because of the cosmic energy. So, now that its main stream news that the magnetic field is weakening (oh and by the way – magnetic north is now 21 deg from the actual north pole, and some scientists say that this is an indication we are close to the poles flipping) we can draw a VERY strong correlation between our so called man made global warming and events that are simply out of our control.
Just take a minute to think about it. Earth magnetic field is weakening. Global warming becomes a political alarmist action. Mars (our neighbor planet) is experiencing global warming. Oh, and lets not forget the frigid winter north America is experiencing. If you apply some basic logic (and lets ignore high-school logic since science religion is taught over science fact) then you should at least come to the conclusion that NOTHING is absolute. And, if you are a true scientist and not politically bankrupt you know that science is not about absolutes.
